Who processes your data

What data we process and why
Enquiries and quotes
When you send us an enquiry through the form, WhatsApp, e-mail or phone, we process your name or company name, phone number, e-mail address (if you write to us), details of the material, estimated weight and the photos you send. We need this data to quote your material and arrange the purchase. The legal basis is taking steps at your request prior to entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
Purchase of material
For the purchase itself we process the data needed to conclude and document the transaction: identification details, for private persons details from an identity document, details of the material, weight and price, and payment details. Part of this data must be kept under the Czech Waste Act and accounting and tax rules (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).
Website
The website uses no advertising or analytics cookies. Your browser only stores the chosen language and an indicative euro exchange rate (localStorage); this is technical data needed for the page to work. If anonymous visitor statistics (Umami) are enabled, they count visits and clicks without cookies and without identifying individuals (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
How long we keep the data
- enquiries that did not lead to a purchase: at most 12 months after the last contact,
- records of completed purchases: for the period required by the Waste Act and accounting and tax rules.
Who we share data with
We do not sell your data. To run the website and communicate with you we use these processors and services:
- FormSubmit – delivers form messages to our e-mail,
- our e-mail provider and website hosting (GitHub Pages),
- WhatsApp (Meta) – if you contact us via WhatsApp,
- jsDelivr (loads the smooth-scrolling library) and Frankfurter (ECB euro exchange rate) – these services only see your browser's IP address,
- Umami – anonymous visitor statistics, if enabled,
- our accountant and tax adviser, and public authorities where required by law.
Some of these services may process data outside the EU. Such transfers are based on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify or erase your data, to restrict processing, to data portability and to object to processing based on legitimate interest. Just write to info@viorex.cz. You may also lodge a complaint with the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection (uoou.gov.cz).
